I Seek God Here This Winter Day

I seek God here this winter day,
a silent glade where I can pray,
these woods His chapel in the snow.
Nearby an ice-filled stream does flow.
Amidst blue spruce it wends its way.
Between tall trees bold sunbeams stray
like through stained glass, dispersing gray.
Inside His bethel all things glow.
I seek God here.
So quiet His domain today
He only hears whate'er I say.
My prayer complete I surely know
on me a blessing He'll bestow.
This peace He gives is why I stay.
I seek God here.
