The alarm bongs like Big Ben,
I hit the snooze button again,
Cracking my eye at the time,
Oh Crap it’s the breakfast chime,
I throw on mismatched socks,
Then run a comb through my locks,
Spray deodorant under each arm,
Missing my shower won’t do harm,
My toaster catches on fire,
My need to get gone is dire,
Something is wrong with my tire,
I must of ran over a briar,
I take time to fix the flat.
I get in to go and there’s a splat,
I ran over the kid’s cat,
He is flat as a door mat,
Finally driving down the road,
Rush hour traffic keeps me slowed,
Coffee on a bumpy street,
Spills on me and the seat,
I rush in the office for my interview,
What the secretary said made me blue,
You're actually not here late,
Your interview is not on this date.
