So lovely spring is, that I just can't wait!
Though outside snow is falling, cold winds blow,
we'll soon have better weather, fairer days.
March twentieth is spring's first day, you know!
Then warmer winds will open waterways,
and trees will wear their favorite color green.
Up in their branches, birds will build their nests,
then bears awake, and with new cubs, are seen.
The smell of wet earth permeates the air,
the last snow melts and soon, puddles appear.
There's something special 'bout the scents of spring,
anticipation builds as it draws near.
The other seasons do possess their charms,
for all their gifts, their praises I will sing.
But nothing can compare to how I feel,
about my favorite season, lovely spring.
