My dad would love to watch this TV show about the war
I didn't understand it and I really wasn't sure
How Schultz would always have a way to make my father laugh
He spoke his only line, while they were giving him the shaft
When someone asked a question, like "Did anybody call?"
Schultz would say
"I know Nothing, I know Nothing at all!"
.......................
I kept on sitting with my dad to watch this tv show
Schultz never got in trouble for the things he didn't know
He had to be a genius, yet he didn't look too bright
He has to have a secret, cause he's doing something right
So when I got in trouble next, Id hold my head up tall
And I'd say,
"I know Nothing, I know Nothing at all!"
............................
When I was only sixteen years, my friends and I skipped school
And I was not the kind of girl to ever break a rule
They all would get their ears pierced and I soon would face my fears
I chickened out, my folks would freak, to see holes in my ears
I turned around and saw my older sister at the mall
And I said
"I did nothing, I did nothing at all!"
...................................
The years flew by so quickly, and I now became a wife
And everything was wonderful while starting my new life
He came home and he asked me how that scratch got in the car
I said I wasn't sure because I hadn't driven far
While answering his questions, then I knew I had to stall
And I said,
"I know nothing, I know nothing at all!"
..................................
This became very serious when I had quite a shock
My sweet six year old daughter hit her brother with a rock
My poor son then was crying and my daughter in a pout
I'm so upset I put her in a half an hour time out
I heard her talk to someone, who she lied to in the hall
(Then I heard)
"I did Nothing ....Daddy.....I did Nothing at All!"
