This is how my mind I tease,
with some odd things that cause unease.
I’ll list them here, for they are these:
I worry I’ll be stung by bees,
or itch and scratch with allergies.
Perhaps my old car’s clutch will seize;
or my cat, Lily, will attract some fleas.
Might I misplace important keys?
I worry there are no guarantees
that I won’t get some rank disease.
My blood might boil or maybe freeze —
then will I snort and gasp and wheeze
and fall down on my crippled knees?
Will I be doomed in a money squeeze?
Will I have to learn to speak Chinese?
Will the forests all be stripped of trees?
Will pollution ruin the seven seas?
Will we self-destruct our warring species?
But the biggest fear in my unease:
Will the store run out of my favourite cheese?

Author Notes
Author note;
For those who have asked, my current favourite is an artisan New Zealand cheese - Puhoi Valley Kawau Blue. It is nice and stinky.
