I scream, you scream, we all scream for 13
Paraskevidekatriaphobia

A frisky fear of ones and threes
is Triskaidekaphobia,
a tricksy prime example of
us overthinking shivers.
But as we scavenge dignity
to face another fateful day,
we scream in Friday's heinous face -
in Greek, say Paraskevi.
So for the great connecting of these fears,
I find myself iambically contained.
Pentameter can almost stretch to hold:
Paraskevidekatriaphobia
