I thought creating an acrostic was a great idea.

As it turns out, I guess I should have given a bit
More thought to it, further than just the stupid title.

Not real sure where I'm going from here.
Only thirty-one more lines to go.
Thirty if I waste this line with this.

Sooooo....
Usually, I'll admit, I'm not this unprepared or lacking in enthusiasm.
Remember back when acrostics actually held depth and meaning?
Eventually you'll realize this one doesn't.

An autumn sunrise glows softly on the eastern horizon.
Breathtaking hues so subtly welcome the rising of dawn.
Orchards of vibrant trees await the sun's morning kiss.
Uniquely exquisite could only describe this precious gift.
That crap just isn't working for me.

The poet crafted every word with heart,
Reciting to himself a love proclaimed.
Yet sadly dwelled on dreams that woes impart.
If only she might love whom he became.
No gathering of thoughts could ease his grief.
Goodbye, she whispered, farting out a queef.

Anyway...
Not too keen on pursuing metered verse either, looks like.
Opposing the fact I'm still working on this dumb piece
There seems to be no logic as to why I'd bother continuing.
Here's an idea,
Every line that's left will be just random stupidity.
Ready?

Age, come on, that's an asinine topic for a poetry contest entry.
Cats, what can I say, that's just as ignorant.
Republican, screw you if you don't like it.
One nation, under God, in total chaos.
Steven Seagal got fat as shit.
There's good chance no one even made it to here.
I'm a few shots in on my vodka and, oh yeah, I'm loving it.
Can I get an amen?
