He spread lots of sunshine and cheer
To loved ones and friends he held dear.
He taught us how to get along.
He and my mom performed a song.
He remembered his younger days.
I loved all his hard-working ways.
He taught us how to love the Lord.
He allowed us to spread God's word.
He was faithful, loyal, and true.
He was a friend to all he knew.
He was quiet, soft-spoken too;
A nourishing garden he grew.
He taught us how to work I know.
He loved each of his children so.
Music's a great comfort to me
Dad played songs to many, you see.
Toward the end of my dad's life,
He got lonely for his dear wife.
He desired to be called home
So that he would not be alone.
