George sat upon the tankstand
A hungry cat was he
But he waited till the mother cat
Had eaten all his tea.
They left a box of chickens
By parrafin lamp kept warm
Georgie stretched out in their midst
And did not one mote of harm
When they arrived home that evening
George was as happy as could be
His plate no longer on the tankstand
He came inside to have his tea
