A Magical Place
The Fairy Village by Boogienights
    Children's poem Contest Winner

Way down in the valley
where warm winds softly blow...
There's a fairy village,
where wild flowers grow.

Rows of tiny houses
have matchbox beds inside.
Everything is spotless,
in that, fairies take pride.

Clothes they wear are woven,
from gold and silver strands.
In their hair, sunflowers,
found in the fairy lands.

For breakfast they eat honey
that's spread on tiny bread.
Bees create it daily,
so everyone gets fed.

These tiny fairies ride
on dragonflies for fun.
Often they'll have races,
with prizes to be won.

They hold fairy dances,
the stars provide the light.
Crickets, with the night birds,
make music through the night.

When it rains the fairies,
in puddles, like to swim.
Happy to wash dust off
their wings, they jump right in.

Magical are fairies,
they're very happy too.
If your heart, holds a wish,
they'll make that wish come true.

If you ever see one,
then please do not be shy.
Fairies are quite friendly,
whenever you stop by.

There would be less color
without the fairy land.
One day you might meet one,
and then you'll understand.
