The dawning sun crested the tree tops. Its golden rays danced across the river. Spontaneously, I inhaled the crisp, sweet air. The chorus of chirping birds welcomed our day. A murmur crossed my trembling lips. “Good morning, my love.” I sensed more than felt your warm presence as your arms encircled me. The ring of my cell phone crashed like thunder into our moment, and reality replaced my dream state. You, my angel, were gone.   Recognized Author Notes Today is the 3rd anniversary of my husband's death and this is how we started today and most days.
