Sunset
My favorite time of the day
As I wind down.
Finishing up my projects
And my wife's endless
Honey to do list
For the day.
I pour a glass of wine
Or make a cuppa of herbal tea,
Put out apples and cheese
And listen to romantic music.
Looking at my wife
Who looks at me
With love flashing
From her eyes.
For 40 years
This has been our nightly ritual
Enjoying the sunset.
As the day turns into night
Then we take a walk
And fall in love
Again.
