The first time I saw you autumn rain fell,
I envied the way, it caressed your skin.
An angel you were, from what I could tell,
something brand new was about to begin.
You turned unexpectedly, looked my way,
your smile as bright as the morning sun.
Needed so bad, something clever to say,
one look from you, and I came all undone.
I untied my tongue and we talked a while,
so much in common, it just seemed unreal.
mesmerized I was by your tender smile,
it's hard to explain how you made me feel.
I was so lonely, the fates must have known,
you came along, filling my empty space.
Finding each other, we're never alone,
you feel the same way, it shows on your face.
All that you are, touched me deeply inside,
the stars all aligned and brought you to me.
I was closed off, now my world's open wide,
all that you gave me, set my spirit free.
