There’re many small things we all can do,
And they will add up, we know that’s true.
Produce in plastic we can refuse,
Paper bags and boxes we can choose.
Are we guilty of wasting water?
That’s not really a laughing matter.
Have we tidied and cleaned up our yard?
Fire prevention’s wise, and not too hard.
Do we drive when at times we could walk?
Practise our beliefs or simply talk?
Leave lights on and get high power bills?
Turn up the heating, to ward off chills?
I ask you – are we caring for our trees?
Or chopping them down, ourselves to please?
What about animals’ habitat?
Have we even thought of that?
We all live on this planet called Earth.
Have we considered its value and worth?
Horrid pollution – there’s mess everywhere,
Creation is groaning – does no-one care?
We need to focus on conservation:
It’s time to have this conversation,
Make drastic changes to how we live –
Our children need this gift we must give.
