The days are rough ' midst dimming light,

but, I gain strength thoughout the night

and treat each day as a new start.

It helps to mend my broken heart.

I must stay strong, make str my thing,

accept what memories may bring.

Those memories are all I know.

They give me help and make me grow.

Please memories stay in my heart.

I hope that they never depart

Hold those memories, day and night,

let them erase my saddened plight.

For many years we've been apart-

Yet, you are always in my heart.
