“Heidi, you’ve gotta quit being so greedy.  Treats aren’t everywhere.” I’d just finished removing the fish hook from her paw.  She’d been snuffling through my fishing gear for goodies.  As I wrapped my neckerchief around it, Mom came outside and saw her. Feebly wagging her tail, Heidi gave Mom a sad-eyed look. “Oh, poor thing!” Mom said, kneeling beside us.  “You deserve a treat.  I’ll get you one.” Writing Prompt Write a flash fiction story. 70 words exactly.
