Exceptional More to the iguana's story An update on Harold by Mary Vigasin

I sent my Harold story to my nephew Tony. After all, Harold, the Iguana, was his friend. But there was more to Harold and Tony's story. I stated in my story that Tony never saw Harold again when he left for college, and Harold went to the museum. On his return from college and before moving out of state, Tony visited Harold at the Museum of Science. He found Harold popular with the staff and children who saw Harold on exhibition. What confused Tony was that his green Iguana was now orange. He figured his color meant that poor Harold was now reaching old age. Years later, Tony lives where the trees in his yard are covered with hundreds of Iguanas. He said at least half of them are old since they are orange instead of green. His fascination with the animal has ceased since his yard is covered with Iguana droppings. He was pleased that at least half of them were old since they were orange instead of green. That is until I told him that they turn orange to attract and dominate the female Iguana and as a signal to other males. He realized now he has hundreds of horny iguanas hanging from the trees in the backyard. Recognized Author Notes At least Tony enjoyed reading about Harold again. He texted me that he did see Harold one more time.
