Excellent Stops you in your tracks Pain by Boogienights Sad Poems writing prompt entry

I am sad I'm getting older, no surprise, we all grow old.  Though the chronic pain I'm feeling, well, that part just leaves me cold.   I can't walk the way I used to, my arthritis takes its toll. I feel like I'm half a person, where I once was young and whole.   There's so much I'd like to try out, I miss walking where I want. I'm a burden in a wheelchair, going to a restaurant   Or theater, or the local mall, I rely on family. I want to live without my pain, trapped inside it, I'm not free.   Many my age also suffer, still, there's many who do not... Filled with sadness and self pity, that this life is now my lot.   Though my life has many blessings, I have family who love me. There is sadness in just knowing, can't be how I want to be.   Writing Prompt Sadness has overcome us all at one time or another. Either caused by a relative or close friend's death or from the girl or guy that broke our heart or just life in general. We all handle situations differently, some good, some bad. This contest gives us the ability to explore this. Your poem can also play into other emotions that are common to writing like this such as anger or depression.
