Exceptional 2nd Place. Like A Thief In The Night by Douglas Goff 75 Word Story writing prompt entry

She stole it and refused to return it. Childish behavior really.   I should never have been so cavalier with something so vulnerable, but I left it open and she took it.  I requested she return it immediately and undamaged, but she refused. Instead, she giggled like a pirate finding a treasure chest. I hope she doesn't bury it.  Odd she would even want it. It’s worn and been through the wringer. My heart, now hers.  Writing Prompt Write a story on any topic. But you must use only 75 words to tell your story. Exactly 75 words. Title not included in the count. Recognized
