A loop poem
The Potters Wheel by JLR
Loop Poetry Contest contest entry

That potter's wheel goes round and round.
Round and round, spinning lumps of clay.
Clay from the earth for all its worth,
Worth the potter's bright smile each day.

Day in and out, the potter throws.
Throws a bowl, some short, some taller.
Taller, just for practical jars.
Jars filled with food or a dollar.

Dollar a day, the potter earns.
Earns for labor that's spun with love.
Love the shape of empty vessels?
Vessels of love that he's proud of.
