I wrote about the terror you infused
into each battered fragment of my soul.
Now you lay beaten, broken, ever bruised,
and I beseech God's mercy to console
a man who's scared of dying all alone.
A question lies within; "is that the fate
of ones whose deeds induced a dying love?"
Devoured the heart of this devoted mate,
a deadly err destroyed the bond thereof,
disposing all into the great unknown.
Sometimes I wonder if I can forget
the crimes which tore our entwined lives apart.
Then I'm reminded not to play roulette
with bullets from a once devoted heart.
My God forgave and all his flaws have flown.
Forgiveness is bestowed, now seek your peace.
Remember all the loved ones you adore
awaiting for your mind to find release.
They long to walk with you on heaven's shore.
You'll see our Holy Father on his throne.
