There was nothing special about the day the Lord spoke to me in a vision. I was visiting a friend. We were sitting at her dining room table talking about the Lord when suddenly I found myself alone in a space of time. I saw Jesus. He began to speak and show me things. What I saw was a tall image in a plain gown. It had no face. Behind the image stood a taller angelic being holding a huge sword high over its head. When the Lord began to speak, the angelic being dropped the sword, and the image was cut in half. Jesus began to walk between the pieces. He said, "When you pray the Word, I make a covenant with you. My part of the covenant is to fulfill the Word and your part is to believe I can and will fulfill it." With that, I found myself back with my friend. The conversation flowed as though nothing had happened. However, the vision had a profound effect on me. It sealed my faith. From that point forward, whenever I pray, I use as many Scriptures as possible that pertain to the need. It seems to amaze those I pray for when they receive the answer to our prayer. God is faithful to fulfill His Word. He said His Word would not return to Him void but accomplish that which desire and achieve the purpose for which He sent it. The Word also tells us that He is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should repent. Has He not said it, and will He not bring it to pass? My faith is now completely secure because He has shown me through a vision and spoken from His Word. Author Notes My faith is built on the Word of God.
