I want to cry a little bit  and I know exactly why.  I cannot help but feel adrift  when in my bones do lie  the sore regret of bitter choice  made by none but I.    There is  a lovely irony  that comes when the sky is blue.  A clearness in the atmosphere  which is not felt in you.  And yet we find our soul defined  by its mockng hue.    In hearts exist an oddly grief  put there by spurned potential.  The effort put to vocalize,  not inconsequential.  That which tides did put asunder  I still hold as deferential.  Recognized Author Notes I believe the emotion here is sadness. Overwhelming and profound sadness triggered by grief, guilt, and regret. Sometimes a story ends and it leaves you with emptiness. It's okay to sit in that emptiness and contemplate how good it used to be.
