You are you I am I  There is no reason to ask why Because  You are you I am I    Sometimes we do not see eye to eye But we must learn to pass that by We often tread a thin line  And there is so little time.   You cannot make me into what you expect But each other we should respect  I am the one who has a standard to set But let's not argue to our regret.   Our journeys are separate but together and just perhaps Together  We will love forever.   Recognized Author Notes All about being individual, but still seeking the togetherness of a couple. I have written many poems since, but this one is special to me. Hope you enjoy.
