she shakes her cage
I have arrived home
she hears my voice
nuzzles on my shoulder
guinea pig love is soft
like God saying
welcome home
after a long
difficult day
Nessie listens
to me
as I talk to her
her eyes are
intense
focused on
my voice
It is as if
God provides
a soul mate
so small, yet so
large in presence
she wakes me up
in the early morning
so I will not miss
work
God's guidance
in action
guinea pigs make
my house a home
little heart beats
create warmth
