Watching a show about murder and lies
My, how the stories do fly by
Excuses certainly do abound
In every single little town
It happens too often in real life
When people are under stress and strife
On television, solutions are easy
But in real life it can make one quite queasy
If only we had the ultimate power
To solve the mystery in less than an hour
Or better yet, for there to be no crime
Then wouldn't our lives all be so sublime?
