Mole hills out of mountains by jake cosmos aller
Idiom Poetry writing prompt entry

My wife and I

Grew up in different cultures

Different worlds

Speaking different languages.

When we got together

We quickly made our own language.

A mixture of my native English

And her native Korean

Lately, adding in a few Spanish words.

We delighted

 In mangling each other’s

Native tongue.

She often trips up on idioms

Such as making a molehill

Out of a mountain.

Just to name one of the many idioms

That she has mangled to death

Over the years.
