Dust Bunnies in My Mind by Tom Horonzy
Flash Fiction contest entry

A fallow mind, like mine, is rather hard to find because what sane person is searching for dust bunnies lurching in corners?

So, I go it alone more times than not, musing in the dark, concerned that if the light gets in, my furry little Lilliputian friends will scurry away.

Some will say my thoughts are insane, but those who know or have read me find me either mystifyingly baffling or deliriously delicious.

As for me, I have concluded myself to be either quite abstruse or completely obtuse, more likely the latter by way of my blather, since I was told by a few FanStory friends that I am humorous, but only after, I feel sure, they had sustained an occurrence to their funny bone, known as the humerus, which isn't a bone at all but a nerve.

Paraphrasing another, "Forgive me, for I know not what I am doing!"

Author Notes
Some may say this is real and not fiction, but me, myself, and I know, and I'm not as crazy as Mork was with Mindy.

I may be, genealogically, a relative of George Orwell, though he wouldn't claim it to be as so. Maybe Napolean is in control between the iters of my mind and runs it as He did as the pig in Animal Farm, a satirical allegorical novella.

Even the horse in the pasture next door, (the photo is my own, and its text was added with PicMonkey) stands confused, so you are not alone.
