Pain and Fear had taken up residence in her soul, bringing with them sharp knives that slashed at her sense of self-worth day and night. Unable to eat or sleep, she needed to end this. Alone in the emergency waiting room, she sobbed, desperate for release. A total stranger reached over and took her hand. Ever so gently, she promised “I’ll stay here with you as long as you need me. You are not alone.”
