To find the special gift
Our sibling wanted that Christmas Day.
We wish we had said "I love you"
Or "I'm sorry" just one more time
To a best friend and neighbor
Before they moved away.
We wish we had given our children
One more kiss or embrace
When they needed comforting words,
And their eyes filled with tears.
