The couple planned a special treat for their three young children: a trip to the zoo for some special memories. As their train approached, one toddler skittered away. Her father ran, pulling her back from the platform edge, but lost his grip on the baby’s pram. It rolled fast, falling onto the tracks. Screaming, the mother grabbed the girls. Her husband jumped down, pushing the pram to safety.  He died; the baby lived. Heroic effort. Writing Prompt Can you tell a complete story with just 75 words? That is the challenge of this flash fiction contest. Title not included in word count. Author Notes Parents should position their prams and strollers parallel to the tracks, rather than perpendicular to them, and ensure the brakes are on. Fiction - but similar accidents do happen far too often.
