I give all my thanks for this day
Sun is shining, not any gray
Taking time to engage in play
Using words see what I can say
Today has much to offer me
If I look I will surely see
It’s ripe with possibility
Open to potential, I’ll be
Mistakes will be left in the past
Future concerns will not be cast
For today, my peacefulness will last
Time spent in the moment goes fast
This day I will take time for me
And observe what nature gives free
Time for spirituality
To pursue serenity
Appreciation of life grows
When the pace which we live in slows
Sitting quietly in repose
Artistic works I will compose
