![]() He held the light and shade of trees, not in his eyes, but in his memory and in his liver-spotted skin. Although he felt the breeze on his stubble face, he dared not raise his head to enjoy the sight of sighing trees for, like the autumn leaves themselves, he had good reason to fear the consequences of a sharp Fall.
