Author Notes
Trying different poetry forms, in this case 3-5-3, is a terrific way to strive for a crisp mental picture. This was inspired by my desire to go sailing but I had to do a lot of washing that morning instead. It wasn't a very breezy day anyway; I would probably have been becalmed.
