Stag...... a male red deer.
During the mating season which begins in sutumn, the males fight to have the right to mate with the females ..
The females ..( together with their daughters and males under 2 years old ) live in groups all year round .
Mature males live in groups but in the mating season they separate and each one tries to win a harem for himself ..
When the mating season ends he leaves the harem .. He has achieved his goal ...He has passed on his genes and secured the next generation of deers. -
