Hi Amada
This is a fine, contemplative piece. I can imagine it being said in a period of meditation as an aid to relaxation, as a mental massage.
There are so many poetically uplifting visuals. I particularly enjoyed the 2nd verse about connecting with the rise and fall of breath; the 3rd verse about being embraced in the Earth's distinct folds and layers; and the 5th verse about hands opening flower-like.
Well done and all the best

Peace in this stressful world is indeed a blessings. I know others who find yoga as relaxing as you do. Taking the time to find your spirit is never a waste of time. Very smoothly written verse. Excellent. Blessings, Linda

Hard words indeed, to use in a single poem. You've taken them and givien us a very image laden poem of graceful beauty. I wish you luck in the contest.

Yoga is a wonderful thing. It's an excellent exercise, yet leaves you feeling refreshed instead of fatigued.
I loved your poem. It was very well composed.
Good luck in the contest.

I have never done Yoga, but your poem almost convinces me to get out there and give it a try. It is beautifully written and the descriptions are clear even given the economy of words required by poetry. I especially like the last verse.

What a delightful contest entry. I believe you followed the contest rules and I love your entire presentation...
As a certified yoga teacher (not teaching now), I love this ode to the Child's pose. You describe the simple joy of this pose as well as it's restorative properties.
Your simple notes help add to the presentation for those not familiar with the work - as does your artwork.
Great job and good luck in the contest!

G'day amada
Yoga poetry! I reckon you could majke a fortune selling the idea to a chain of yoga class leaders! As a poem it is well constructed, has good images and gives the reader something to think about.
Good job!

hard for me to believe that this was a contest where you had to "hit" words. It was just nicely done. A real clue to me of whether or not I like a particular poem is the number of times I read it. Yours I read three times, the last time out loud. Good words and imagery throughout!

This is very complimentary, to read it three times and one outloud. I hope it brought to you a feeling of relaxation and peace.
