This poem has a deep message. It is amazing how sometimes we have visions of a great life and then it just doesn't quite turn out that way. That we just are getting out of the cocoon. Hopefully, our dreams and goals can still come to fruition.

A well written poem. The flow of this poem is good. Your message is a heartfelt one. Sometimes we do wish for those "carefree days". Your message in this poem, about reality, is a valid one.

This is truly a great little philosophical poem describing a truth I think most poets would readily agree with. The world, once we emerge from out childhood cocoons, is not quite the same as the one described in Fairy Tales, for sure. I wondered if you might change the wording slightly of your last line, for clarity and smoothness. I was thinking "inside of cocoon" or something that would not need the negative word "not." Just an idea... but your poem is delightful anyway. I really liked it.

This is truly a great little philosophical poem describing a truth I think most poets would readily agree with. I liked the topic...very true, the moment when we come out of that cocoon is one of the most defining moments of our lives.

The author notes helped me understand this lovely poem. There is a lot of depth in what you're saying, and you've said it in 5-7-5 well. It will be nice to write your thoughts in a longer poem to enjoy.
