Nice job of telling the story of the evolution of the butterfly in ten words. However, I find the portrait of the process too concrete for my taste. I would have preferred a more poetic description, if you will, more color to see and feel. Only my opinion.

I counted the syllables to be sure.
And to think you spent seventy-seven cents to enter
forcing me to use far more words than you to meet the requirements of the bosses wherever they may be.
I love butterflies, especially the dust if you are lucky to catch one
