I think he has rabies. Yeah, he has rabies. Look at his eyes. He's got that I want to bite you on the butt look in his eyes-first the butterflies, now the hamsters. I'm so scared. Not bad.

If they're anything like mice which I suspect they are, they're prolific breeders! But very cute. And I like the note about them puffing out their cheeks to stay afloat. Your delightful verse packs a lot into its well-rhymed form and is an education and joy to read. Well done, Cecilia! Debbie

I really like the way your works provide information about the animals you write about, 15-22 days, that is something not many would know about, very well written and presented****kahpot

The rhyming was perfect in this poem. An ode to the hamster, quite the cute little creatures. It's too bad they only live about two years. I enjoyed this read.

    Dolly,

Thank you for the wonderful review. We had mice and hamsters growing up. I don't remember what happened to them though. My mother probably got rid of them. Glad you enjoyed this poem.

Your poem is fun and full of information! I really like how you mix humor with interesting facts about hamsters. The line about them being "promiscuous" made me chuckle! Such a clever way to describe their fast growing families! I love how you end on the idea of their legacy. It's a short life but you make it sound like a meaningful one.

Thank you for sharing this tribute to hamsters with us. I knew absolutely nothing about hamsters except they exist. I appreciate the education of hamsters with us.

What clever little hamsters, I don't think we have any in Australia, however we do have mice, and t think they were accidentally imported, this is beautifully written Cecilia, in great style, blessings Roy

    Roy,

Thank you for the great review. I wanted to come up with a great poem for your friend and mine, Angel Debbie. She is the queen of the hamsters after all.

Boy o boy girl you did an excellent job on this one for me. I thank you. You gave me more information on a hamster than I actually knew. Now I need to do a Hamster using his cheeks to float somehow. That was a shocker for me and my husband to find out. Thanks again. I hope you get great reviews. Have a wonderful day.

they are cute little buggers, I will give them that. lol But I had one once and he was a nightmare. He decided that he didn't like the idea of his poo being in his cage and he would put it in his mouth and spit it outside of his cage!! I kid you not. He didn't last long as a pet lol thanks for sharing.

    Marilyn,

Thank you for the wonderful review. That's funny I don't care who you are. I would have got rid of him too. What a gross little creature.
