Your descriptions are marvelous. I could smell and see the creepy stranger. The touch of mothballs to his wool coat was excellent as was the cow gut breath and road-map veins.
To find out he was this man's original name-sake come to haunt him was real surprise.
You've done it again, Ric, with this smooth flowing, easy to follow story.

Well written and easy to read. Strong description--especially of his breath. Fitting for the Halloween weekend. Nice connection at the end of the story between the narrator and the visitor. And, enough unanswered questions to keep the reader intrigued, even after the story ends.
