Love is also a friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses. Thanks for your "love" poem. Cheers and happy Easter.

only one love comes to mind as a read this wonderfully crafted piece you have delivered. Tho I won't speak of, it was and is the only love I've truly known. Now gone many years ago.

HI Kahpot, to me true love is when lovers have a fight...and no one walks away...true love is one of the hardest jobs to have...you have to work at it everyday...your poem is very well written...and a great picture...love Linda xxoo

Great perspective on love. So similar to what my grandfather was always telling us. Great flow and rhythm. You have such a smooth style of writing in this and your other works. Keep up the good work, you inspire me and hopefully others to improve.

I think the pattern you've set up here is really effective - the long second stanza, with each line beginning with "love is...", and the faultless rhyming couplets creates an impact on the reader.
I especially love the ending:
love is sure if love is slow
love them right and it will grow
love them wrong and you will find
love will leave you way behind
