I was drawn to your poem by the artwork and title. I don't think I have ever read a tribute to a yoga pose in poetry and I enjoyed yours very much. I like the flow and the last line about the vase. Nicely done.

Interesting imagery here, yoga, drugs and depressive illness? I like the concept of yoga in finding the inner strength and faith. Good poem.

I was always fascinated with yoga. Many years ago, I gave it a try. I was an athlete, who, for my time was a big kid. Heavily muscled, I had a very difficult time with some positions, so I gave up. My father, who was terrific with wood and making things, decided to help me. He fashioned an incline bench with a cutout through the chest area to allow me to breathe normal ins and outs. I had a cutout for my head to let my forehead touch the ground to ensure me being one with the earth. What a feeling of cleansing ones spirit.
Your choice of artwork does excellent work in giving this wonderful piece to the tone for me, the reader. Excellent flow of words in this poem....................jim

it is a good idea when we are meditating, yes to describes those wonderful feelings and ideas that come to us in that state, because you put the reader in that Yoga move too.
