Another packed post of interesting memories!
You had great experience with the creative writing long before Fanstory! And yes, you're right - we should pray for believers on college campuses. If you had that experience back then, it's so much worse now. I could not express my Christian beliefs in my college papers even in the late 1970s.

So cute - that story about the dog. That's worth a flash fiction story. Maybe you can in the next true flash.

So glad that the Lord protected you and your kids in all that driving! Yes, I remember that story you shared about the bad guy who drove you home that one time.

Thank you so much for the review and for the nice comments. I think I probably wrote about the dog before when I was on FanStory. I'll check it our. I don't want to get kicked off for repeating.

Dear Beth, I am always amazed at your memory, and the number of details you include in each chapter of this memoir.
I too am so glad that your children went to a Christian college instead of state universities, because I agree with your assessment of most of the professors hired by those institutions.

Thank you Suzanna. I appreciate the review and lovely comments. Yes the professors and some of the colleges can destroy your faith if you aren't careful.

What an interesting life you have lead so far. You are good at getting out of messes that seem to come your way uninvited. The children are growing like weeds and becoming independent.

Engrossing--I feel like I'm there with you. I'm slurping up each delicious tidbit.

All of this [omit comma] did become a lot more time consuming than I had anticipated.

hyphenate state-supported and time-consuming
thunderstorm is one word

had a bad experience once back in collage [college]

A fascinating episode Beth, I didn't realise you'd done these courses, I can remember existentialism being all the rage when I was at some parties with leering, loquacious, drunken students asking if I thought I existed or not. Very negative philosophy, well done, Beth, well dine
Typo : For their (on) world view, own? 2 happily (waging) his tail. Wagging?
3: had signed up (for) to work. 4: We hadn't gotten far (went) when?

Oh, Beth. I feel for you over the son of a Baptist minister. WE can pray for our children, but sometimes they can use their free will to a bitter end against their parents. I can identify with you creative class. I took one in journalism and ethics and they brainwash students from God. Sad. But I always feel your genuine faith in your writing. It makes the true story worthy and I'm blessed to read it!

Hi Beth, this was a chapter so full of new events. I'm sure you managed to enjoy your two writing courses. And then you got a dog just for the holiday. What a cheeky little thing, just to disappear when you got back home. And then a flat tire when it was most important not to get one. LOL. Good job there are some genuine people about.I enjoyed this, as always. Ulla:)))
