This free verse, Fishing Dream, places the sad fisherman in one of those dreadful dreams where nothing goes right and then big gets away. Wet shoes as well. Arrg!

I'm wondering, did you ever catch that trout? Lol, they can be very clever, and will avoid the rod if they can! I really enjoyed reading your poem, it took me back many years when my brother would be out there hoping to catch the big one! Well done! :) Sandra xx

This poem sounds exactly right for a young fellow to trek his favorite fishing spot. I think it should do well in the contest, good luck. I do envy you guys who were close to a fishing hole. Growing up we had a several-hour drive to go fishing, so it was always an event. Good job.
