I love the rain and you have very effectively used your words to paint a lovely picture of it. I also love this form of poetry, its not easy to write. Thanks so much for sharing.

What a beautiful nonet! I'm a musician so I particularly appreciate the terminology you've chosen and the idea of a raindrop symphony!
Blessings and thank you for sharing.

Mmm, lovely paralleling (thought I'd made that word up!) of orchestral arrangements and nature's soundtrack. There's always that lovely, underlying symphonic susurrus, even on the quietest days, reminding us of the sheer depth of the world around us.

Beautiful writing :-)

"Pitter-pattering rain creates rhythm," Your poem is very well written, extolling the beautiful music of nature. Well chosen words, and a lovely picture to illustrate.

This is such a nice tongue-twister, just try to read it aloud :) The sound of it actually resembles the sound of rain drumming on window glass. Nicely done :)

This nonet, Symphony of Raindrops, follows the nine to one descending syllable lines and brings the readers an understanding of the natural music available on rainy days. Nice.

What an outstanding job on this nonet. You met the syllable count, while conveying a meaningful message. When I re-read, I discovered your musical word in each line. Wow! Thanks for sharing.

Interesting nonet JLR. Love the sound of the cascading rain. Never gave it thought as a musical but as written it surely can be, with a twist of imagination. Might even become a top ten song but more than likely it would need to be Country and Western.

I can go for country and western!

Hi. This is really lovely. I like all the musical references. "Pitter-pattering rain creates rhythm" is 10 syllables; that's the only thing. You could do "makes rhythm" or "is rhythm".

This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.
The highest and the lowest rating are not included in calculations.

Sarah sorry that you see this in error, I have used the correct syllabic count
    As follows: pitter- 2 // pattering- 3 // rain - 1 // creates - 2 // rhythm - 1 // 9 total.
reply by Sarah Tummey on 25-May-2022
I see. Fair enough if you're happy with it. Rhythm is 2 in my book, because that's how I say it.

That?s okay I need to follow the dictionary all the time, English is my second language so I could be wrong that?s why I value your input

Very impressed that you're writing poetry in your second language. I've never tried to write a poem in another language. I've been learning Welsh and have found it very difficult.

    Wow a tough language, congratulations.

Hello JLR a good day to you. As always I hope all is well with you. I enjoyed your No Rules poem entry, I like you describe the rain as making music. Good job and good luck in the contest.
