People go to church for a purpose. The best sentence they like to hear is:
" I declare that all lives are spared, and all sins are squared."

People should demonstrate they deserved such pardons.

Thanks for sharing.

My friend you are so correct, many who go to church should walk the walk and talk the talk more often. Thanks for your review.

JLR,
We are all one flock - all leaves on one tree - one family - all from One Source. Yes, 'the doorway is opened wide' to all . There is on home and eternity is inside.

What a great story using this (new to me) style of poetry. The rhyming was great and didn't seem forced. The rhythm was steady and very musical. I also loved the artwork you chose for your writing. Great job!

Interesting spiritual poem in a format I have not previously been aware of. If the figure represented Jesus, then it would be fine to follow. Otherwise to follow an ordinary man like a flock of sheep - one could be led into a cult or sect especially if he promotes cheap salvation. Salvation was paid for at great price - and we need to accept the gift of forgiveness, not given to all but to those who ask for it. Sin won't be just brushed aside by a holy God.

Wendy, I agree fully, in my poetic presentation, I referred to a glow of light surrounding this figure with a claim of salvation who in my poetic mind could be John the Baptist, I surely did not mean to leave the door open for it to be a satanic figure,

Oh I see. I wondered if you had chosen to leave it open to interpretation.

An unusual spiritual poem JLR where the message, to me, is beware of the flash even with religion because not all are there for the right reasons. I was thinking of some of the 'cult' churches with this read. Enjoyed your Canzonetta Prime for the club, cheers,

Author,
I like the message of this poem. Some churches are dead, while others thrive with great leadership. You also teach about tolerance--that their sins are forgiven. The protagonist in your story did not preach condemnation.
Excellent work.
Good luck!
Blessings, Cindy

I like the intended concept, but I don't know if anything like that could or would ever happen. I would love it if I could just follow a being and be saved but I am afraid it is going to take more than that.

Very nice, unique concept.

I was unfamiliar with this style of poetry until now, thanks for the exposure:)
This is well written with rhymes that flow like water as they are unforced.
The overall color story and presentation mirror the ethereal tone of your writing.
