An interesting story. I must admit I'm still a little confused. Did you think your niece was going to have another baby ? Then what about the email from your sister? I did understand that your old emails appeared on the top but not really the rest.

Well, the first e-mail announced that my niece was pregnant. The second that she had the baby already. Since she was older, I wrote that they did not want to announce her pregnancy until the last minute due to her age.

I hope the "Store Closed' sign isn't up when you go to return the baby clothes. After all, they won't be much good for an 18 yr old, 6 ft college student.

Thanks for a fun read and good laugh, even if based on a little exaggeration and greatly reversed expectation! Computers are strange creatures with unexpected happenings quite often.
I hope the "Store Closed' sign isn't up when you go to return the baby clothes. After all, they won't be much good for an 18 yr old, 6 ft college student.

I read this yesterday but didn't have time to review it. It really made me laugh. I guess the main appeal is the realisation that it could equally well be applied to me! I'll bet it gave your niece a good laugh, too.

You have a very amusing way of telling a story. There are many humorous moments here that have echoes in my own life, such as;
I have a 54DD bra size I never returned; maybe I can sling it across my shoulder to carry potatoes up from the cellar. (I laughed out loud at this)
Not being too computer savvy, it took me a few days to find out how to reverse to put the latest date on top. (this happened to me too, causing confusion to me and to others I replied to.)
I can also relate to the cans of corn. I bought lightbulbs that screw in when I should've got ones with a twist fitting.

I have many live friends, but too many dead ones now, and most of my email reminders are from the dead friend. Thank you for the review Wayne. I changed landed to figured to avoid confusion. As to 54DD imagine a hippopotamus wearing a bra and you can see that it is a supersize bra.

I didn't need to know that it was a fictionalized account or that you exaggerated the storyline. I already summed up the qualifier in the story itself.
I smiled when I read about your not being savvy on computers because I am also that way. The settings and apps. and all that jazz only confuses me. So I can relate to misreading labels as I have also brought home the wrong product.
