HI Jay, for me this is one of your best...
much how I feel about my last husband...
who I miss so very much...
for now God has us here for a reason...
and whatever I can do for Him...I will...
and in time I will find my way to my eternal
home...and be with my family passed...and Bobby...
I love your poem my sweet friend...so very nicely written...
God Bless sweet guy...love Linda xxoo

To face eternity is obviously to face uncertainty. No one we can talk to can give us eyewitness, firsthand confirmation of what to expect. The Bible say that the dead no nothing, are conscious of nothing, feel nothing see nothing. So, that says to me, that there is nothing to see, or say here. If that is all, then there is reason to be upset and bummed out. The Bible also speaks of a resurrection where the dead will once again live with the possibility of living forever in perfection. Well alright then! Sign me up, I am all for that!

Hello Jake,
This is a wonderful sonnet/poem with excellent meter and rhyme,
though the theme of crossing to "Jordon's other shore" is what gives it light.
I'm sure she is watching closely, and will be there to greet you.
Well done.
Best wishes.
Robert

-I appreciate your note and poem, jaybird.
-I agree with you about facing death.
-You wrote a good poem reflection on
your feelings, fears, and doubts.
-I like the repetition of Jordan and the
two descriptions of it.
-A very good closing couplet.
-I hope writing about your concerns
brings some comfort. All of us face
the same fate at one time or another.
-Have a great day and rest of your week.

The author's words are sweet, peaceful, show contentment, are descriptive
and creative. I enjoyed the author's thankfulness in this poem. It is
so good when we remember the gifts bestowed upon us. The poem flows
and connects well. Just keep writing, Jay! I admire your determination.

Jaybird, you've penned a gem here, a real lesson in life. I'm sure we're all approaching that day of judgement. I'm also sure your ninety-five plus years have prepared you well for your meeting with the Lord.

As always very inspiring and lovely. You say so much and stick to your form. It gives the returning reader stability that they might not have otherwise. You deliver such wonderful messages.

Yes, it really is. But it is a certainty none of us can escape once we're born. It comes to all of us whether we like it or not. All we can hope for is a long and hopefully happy life. I loved your words. Ulla:)))

Jaybird, this is a beautiful poem filled with enlightenment. I am 84 and I too think of crossing over. I know my wife will be waiting for me, I have been blessed in so many ways. If I lived 100 lives, none could be better
than this one. We've lived through many changes, old friend. Beautiful work, well worthy of six stars and more. Willie
