LOL When my daughter decided to finally wed her live-in boyfriend, I was delighted his mother worked with her to plan it. I wasn't happy about her choice of husband but I've grown to like him. But she did want me to help her find a dress and that satisfied me.
I like your attitude about their need to be married by a Justice of the Peace. If you had spent a lot of time planning a big show, you might been upset.
I can't wait to hear what happens next. Good cliffhanger.

Thank you for the great review. You're right. If I'd spent more time I might have not have thought it was so funny when I found out she was already married. She couldn't saved a lot of money if she done it that way to begin with. LOL

I always feel so awful for you when I read about how your kids treated you! But I guess when we were young, we might have been more self absorbed.
I was confused about "didn't want us upset about not being at their actual marriage" because I am pretty sure that Connie and Charlie did attend their wedding.

Thank you Helen. I meant Connie and Charlie legitimate wedding was in the courthouse with no family there to witness it. We would of course, be at the ceremony, but the two of them were already officially married. If you think others will be confused, maybe I should word it differently.

Oh! I get it now. Maybe it was just me. I'd change it only if someone else was confused. Don't they need a witness even for those courthouse marriages?

They might have taken one of Charlie's or Connie's friends. All they told me was they were cracking up laughing all though the ceremony. It didn't sound like a serious start to a marriage.

These are marvellous memories Beth, and even though you've got strong minded kids, they've grown up in a loving household, and with a Christian upbringing they always find their way in the end.
