You chose an awe-inspiring illustration to go along with your poem. The last stanza is a beautiful statement of how a life course will conclude no matter how the journey goes
Best wishes for this entry.

This was a very interesting poem. It makes one stop and take some time to think. I love the gorgeous artwork that you selected. It reminds me of my childhood. I played in the woods behind my house all the time. I am not quite sure that I understand what happened to the person in the poem, but again it makes one stop and think. Best of luck to you.

Monica, that soul in the poem, "Return to Sender," now thrives with great Peace and Acceptance after the rough patch in the beginning. Grace tends to smooth out all those experiences that mold a person into the compassionate person I'd like to think I have become.

This was a well-thought-out and meaningful poem.

I felt the stork got the address wrong [I felt this way as a child in an abusive home. Thank you for helping me give it a name, even though fictional.]

as my North Star leads me to the one address
stamped on my soul - return to Sender anytime,
Postage paid in full ... because of His Noblesse. [These are powerful lines]

Amahra, too came from a dynamically dysfunctional home where both parents made living day to day a guessing game and I felt deep shame. What I know today, is we are all children of God, we are precious and unique and born innocent. I celebrate you and the Godperson within soul!

I believe I was before a release where I said I'll be obedient so I can complete your plan for me, and I can return after seeing the beauty of the universe before returning to thee.

Amen. The plan of salvation is not restrictive but protective. Simple is as simple does. Choose the right or reap the consequence. CTR/RTC.

A different and original way to write of your faith journey. I like that you are ready and positive about being returned to Sender. Me too, looking forward to the time. Well expressed and presented. Best wishes for your entry.

-Effective imagery and rhyme.
-You establish the premise well in verse one.
-Then show the change that came into your life
"where God's Grace" fed your spirit and you felt free.
-A very good concluding verse.
-A good entry; good luck in the contest.

JLR,
This is such an exquisite poem about finding oneself through redemption.
I like the way you talk of returning one's soul to the "sender...because of His Noblesse.
Good luck with this and all your writing.
Blessings,
Cindy

You did a great job with your contest entry, JLR. I
enjoyed reading it. Your words flowed smoothly
with great imagery. I understood the change that
came into your heart and the reason. The picture
was awesome and a great accompaniment of His
power. I liked how the last two lines read.
Best wishes in the contest, Jan

A most creative and satisfying poem, this one! I loved it, and also admired the way it was written, with abundant internal rhyme and a most wonderful story, full of truth and so beautifully told. I wish you the best in this contest. MM

You have come up with a very original idea. Hopefully, you can stay awhile longer before you are returned to Sender. You probably should capitalize "Sender".
